About David L. Shrier
David Shrier has been an entrepreneur, investor and corporate strategist in the greater New York Area since 1995. He supports the E&Y hyper growth company team to empower entrepreneurs for success. Prior to joining E&Y in October 2011 as their first-and-only Entrepreneur in Residence, David was an operating network executive with Compass Partners, a middle market growth equity fund, where he supported eHealth transactions. Prior to that he has held both Fortune 100and growth-company executive roles in a range of industries, including serving as CEO of a healthcare data & information services business that he acquired from WebMD. He also has mentored entrepreneurs and business executives for over a decade at leading academic institutions including NYU's Stern School of Business MBA Program, Columbia Business School and the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. David was born in Northern New Jersey and has great respect for the Rutgers programs supporting entrepreneurship. He holds an Sc.B. from Brown University with a dual concentration in Biology and Theatre, Speech& Dance.
