Local jewelry artist has created a collection of jewelry that gives back to those in need.

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 19, 2011 - During this season of giving coupled with our depressed economy, some shoppers are being forced to choose between purchasing gifts or donating to charity. The “Blessings Collection” by Bonhomie Jewelry allows the shopper to do both. This collection features three different charm designs depicting “faith,” “hope,” and “love” and the charms are available in three different finishes – copper, silver and silver with gold accents. Each charm is formed using a hand carved mold and is individually hand crafted by the artist herself. A specific charitable organization has been designated to receive the funds raised by a specific design: “faith” will go to Adventures in Missions, “hope” to HOPE for Aids, and “love” to Samaritan’s Purse.

When asked “why this collection?” Kirstie responded “I believe that everyone would like to make a difference but not everyone believes they have the means to do so. I created this line with a choice of message and price range. Something for everyone and we can all feel good knowing we’ve done at least a small part in helping those in need.”

Kirstie Freimuth, wife, mom and self-taught jewelry artist, began Bonhomie Jewelry approximately five years ago when she saw a necklace she wanted but couldn’t afford. She made it herself and Bonhomie Jewelry was born. Bonhomie’s main focus is personalized charm necklaces but Kirstie also creates artisan pieces of silver, copper and enameled copper.
