Fashion Photographer Takes On Beauty And Challenges Women To Get Beautiful.

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 18, 2011 - It was about a year ago when Photographer, Al Rodriguez, tested the waters on a twist to your average make up workshop. The challenge to women: Don't come here to buy makeup products, come learn how to get gorgeous.

Al’s “Get Gorgeous” Makeup Workshops are designed to help women learn how to bring out their beauty by utilizing professional makeup techniques taught by professional makeup artists. Al collaborates with talented and celebrity makeup artists to teach women anything from how to apply proper foundation to how to do a perfect smokey eye. The five- hour workshop includes everything one would need to get gorgeous - from your own brush kit, to makeup and includes a complimentary make-up kit given to each student at the beginning of the course.

Al, a self-taught professional fashion photographer has collaborated with reality television shows Mob Wives and Basketball Wives. His work has been featured in VH1’s Love and Hip-hop and HBO’s show How to make it in America. Al has also shot some celebrities the likes of rapper Fabulous, Angelina from MTV’s Jersey Shore and Mob Wives’ Karen Gravano, among others.

“I found throughout my photography career that many women clients, even models, did not have a clue about how to do their makeup, or were just plainly intimidated,” says Al.  “When I saw what was out there in terms of makeup workshops, I saw that most workshops were geared to selling someone makeup. I felt that there was void in really empowering women on how to utilize makeup to feel more beautiful, sexy and confident. We did not want to pressure women into buying makeup.

“We want women to come learn something that would help their self esteem, maybe re-spark their relationships and most importantly, have a lot of fun doing it. We’ve put together a hands-on, educational and simple workshop that I believe accomplished this,” he adds.
