ACAC Allows Recertification Credits through Select IAQ Video Network Videos

The IAQ Video Network’s productions inform and educate environmental professionals and the general public about important environmental issues.

Nov. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Recently, the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) selected specific environmental videos produced by the IAQ Video Network as yet another means that their certificate holders can earn recertification credits (RCs).  This latest addition to a long list of free industry publications, and now videos, allows ACAC accredited professionals another way to ensure they maintain their accreditations by acquiring the necessary RCs.

The IAQ Video Network has produced an entire series of educational videos about indoor air quality (IAQ), environmental issues and microbial pathogens.  In the months the videos have been available to the public, close to 58,000 video downloads have already occurred.  Topics have covered everything from radon and asbestos to Legionella and MRSA.  The videos selected by the ACAC for RCs include:
•   Earthquakes: Avoiding Indoor Environmental Hazards Once the Dust Settles
•   Hurricanes: Avoiding Indoor Environmental Hazards After the Storm
•   After the Fire: Indoor Environmental Concerns

All three videos, along with instructions for obtaining RCs, can be found at:

“We were pleased to learn today of the ACAC’s decision to offer RCs for environmental professionals viewing these three videos,” reported Paul Cochrane, the founder of Cochrane & Associates, LLC, the company behind the IAQ Video Network.  “In addition to their benefit to the professionals who protect the public from these hazards, close to 500 people have been downloading our videos each day.  The videos have been designed to be short and to the point and easily understood by the general public, which is a strong component of their popularity.  New educational videos are in the works and will continue to be released on a weekly basis over the next several months,” he continued.
