Nov. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- The Skin & Vein Center (www.skinandvein.com) proudly announced Cynthia Jolin of Romeo as the first recipient of a free mini-facelift through its Project Uplift initiative.

Through Project Uplift, the Skin & Vein Center is giving entrants a chance to win a free Mini-Facelift.  Jolin was the first person chosen from among submissions that answered the question, “How a Mini-Facelift would change my life, or the life of someone I love?”

“When I first read about the opportunity to receive a free mini-facelift, I thought, ‘Now here’s my opportunity’,” said Jolin, a 57-year old mother of three.  “My appearance just has not been the same as I feel inside.  Looking younger and refreshed will help me feel more confident in my day-to-day life.”

The Mini-Facelift is a 60-minute procedure that is virtually painless and requires a brief recovery period.  Unlike a complete facelift, the procedure for the Mini-Facelift does not cut into any facial muscles.  Rather, it stretches the skin on the face and tightens the muscles, and then fills in the central area of the face using either real fat or Restylane®.

"It was a great experience treating Cynthia,” said Skin & Vein Center Founder and Medical Director Dr. Eric Seiger, a board-certified dermatologist and highly skilled cosmetic surgeon.  “Seeing how a Mini-Facelift helps increase the confidence of patients like Cynthia is never short of amazing.”

Dr. Seiger developed Project Uplift to assist communities in metropolitan Detroit and Flint, which represent a cross-section of some of the hardest hit communities of the national economic crisis.

“Giving money to the community is one thing,” said Seiger, “but by providing these services like a Mini-Facelift to those who otherwise could not afford to have this work done, enables us to directly make a difference in their lives.”

Jolin could not agree more.  Since her procedure, she believes that she looks 10 years younger.

“Before I had my Mini-Facelift,” said Jolin, “ I showed Dr. Seiger a photo of me from back when I was in my early 40s and said, I want to look like this again.  I believe they did it.  I look great.  My family is totally jealous.  They now want to copy my winning essay, but that’s my story and I am sticking to it.

“Next year, I know that I will be forced to move on from my job as a school bus driver due to budget cuts.  I know that I am going to need a pick-me-up to hit the job market.  Looking refreshed and younger can perhaps help me find a new job.”

To qualify for a free mini-facelift, entrants must be over the age of 40. Skin & Vein Center doctors and staff will select recipients based on their answer to the question, “How a Mini-Facelift would change my life, or the life of someone I love?”

Submissions, which must include a recent photo, can be made via the Skin & Vein Center website at www.skinandvein.com, and by e-mail (skinandvein@gmail.com) or direct mail (Project Uplift, 305 N. Leroy, Fenton, MI 48430).  Recipients must be available to have the procedure performed at one of the Skin & Vein Center locations in Fenton, Garden City or Sterling Heights.
