Acres of Land Winery received a silver medal for their Willie Mae’s Blackberry wine, a sweet dessert wine with an intense blackberry flavor. A bronze medal was awarded for the Russell Land Chambourcin reserve, known for its complex flavor profile of dark cherry, spice and herbs.
The judging panel consisted of American Wine Society certified wine judges. These judges are AWS members who have completed three years of wine judge training and have been specifically selected to judge this event. Wines were judged on characteristics such as clarity, color, aroma, mouth-feel, and taste.
