It’s here! Waterfront Winterland kicks off the Christmas countdown in Swansea

Nov. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- The city’s biggest festive attraction returns to Museum Park for a sixth year complete with two ice rinks – the Admiral Rink for all ages and abilities and Rocky’s Rink - especially for the younger skaters, the Miles Hire Giant Wheel, family funfair and a new Christmas simulator ride.

The city centre and BID are hosting a Christmas launch party on Saturday, 19th November across the streets of the city centre.  There will be a red and white theme as the Swans are playing Manchester United in the Liberty Stadium.  There with activities taking place between 10am and 4pm including face painting and vouchers for a free mince pie from Swansea Market -visit the Wave stage in Portland Street to claim yours.

Santa Claus is coming to town on Sunday, 20th November from 5pm for the Christmas Parade and Lights Switch On!  Watch the procession as it makes its way from the Dylan Thomas Centre to the Guildhall with Santa switching the lights on as he passes.  The theme this year is Christmas films and there’s free parking in the Kingsway and Orchard Street NCPs between 4pm and 8pm.
