TOKYO, Japan (September 1, 2011) - Wahl & Case today announced a new services initiative to give back to society in Japan and help speed recovery efforts in the wake of the devastating March earthquake and tsunami in the Tohoku region. The service will allow non-profit organizations and charities to engage Wahl & Case’s recruitment services for free as they seek to hire staff for their teams. The goal is to allow these critical NPOs/NGOs to save costs and find the best talent quickly to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

The project has evolved from an initial pilot phase, where the firm helped in a search for an office manager and assistant to the general manager of an NPO. The expectation is that Wahl & Case will broaden the scope of assignments to include finance, HR and other back office operations along with marketing and general management executive roles. The initial reception from potential recipients of the aid has been very warm.

“We had been strategizing for some time on the best way for us to give back, and we wanted to avoid knee-jerk reactions in the wake of the disasters that wouldn’t make best use of our unique capabilities,” said Wahl & Case Director Neil Warlicht, who spearheaded the initiative. “With this service, we’re going to be able to help rebuild Japan the best way we know how. Japan is our main market and our home—we want to do everything we can to get things back on the right track.”
