‘Children’s Day’ Celebrated at Punjab’s Largest Lifestyle Destination, AlphaOne, Amritsar

AlphaOne celebrated the Children’s Day with an exhibition from the NGO called “IVE- Initiative for Viable Education for the underprivileged children”, with great festive spirit by offering exciting and fresh ways to celebrate the popular Children’s Day, including exhibition of artefacts, paintings, post cards, bags and wall hangings made by children.

Children’s Day at AlphaOne was celebrated in particular to honour children. They also like many schools, had cultural programmes from (November 11 to November 14, 2011) for the children of Amritsar at AlphaOne engaging them in games, quizzes and competitions.

Mr. Ahmed Bozer, Europe & Asia Head of Coca-Cola visited AlphaOne and gave his blessings to the IVE NGO children by signing on the graffiti wall and also expressed his desire to keep in touch with the children and support them in future. He also named AlphaOne as a great place to enhance the lives of people especially children.

Activities during Children’s Day Celebrations:
11th Nov- Dance Competition by students of Ryan International, Cambridge, DAV School, Bhavan’s Public School participated with over 20 participants.

12th Nov. Painting Competition by Cambridge International and DAV school participated with over 40 students. The exhibition of the paintings of all the children was displayed prominently on 14th November in the Central Atrium at AlphaOne and the display was appreciated unanimously by the thousands of visitors.

13thNov. Emcee led activities and special dance performance by Pankaj and Preeti Dance Academy.
 
14th Nov. Special musical performances by Spring Dale School students and Pankaj and Preeti dance academy. There was also a visit of 85 poor children through IVE NGO and AlphaOne organized one hour of gaming at ORAMA, for them with refreshments. AlphaOne’s brand partners HyperCity and Club Mahindra also supported them to make this event a success. AlphaOne not only provided space to the NGO to exhibit their hand-made products but also promoted it to ensure that they could sell. They also used the products to give away the gifts and prizes to the children who felt proud at the presence of their teachers who had come from participating schools.

Expressing her sincere thanks to the AlphaOne team, Ms. Pearl, MD, IVE NGO stated, “Our children join me in sending you their deep sense of joy and appreciation for having given us an opportunity to display our wares and also for giving so many delightful moments to all of us! The enthusiastic crowd saw and bought the products made by these children and encouraged them to continue their work, which will prevent them from getting into bad habits and give them a sense of pride in what they are doing today.
