One Million Hits and Growing – Women's Information Network

Nov. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada – November 16th, 2011, Founder and President, of Halifax Finance, Lana Larder, chosen as a Director for Women's Information Network (WIN) Global Women's Summit Events.  “This could not be a better fit for me and my mission for my business,”says Larder.

The WIN is an organization that is both online and “on land” in 152 countries.  The WIN assists women globally with online education and social networks for women.  Their mission is “to strengthen women and families worldwide through education, enlightenment, and entrepreneurism in an effort to eradicate illiteracy, poverty, and hunger and increase the level of love and peace on earth.”

Their model is to connect with women experts/leaders worldwide giving them a platform to teach and dialogue with women in their countries on many topics and important women's issues.  “I have been very proactive in the advancement of women here in Atlantic Canada.  I have helped make local changes with provincial loan programs by advocating. I am very involved in helping our youth to stay in school and I volunteer locally to help children, particularly, girls stay in school and get great grades,” says Larder.

“I started my business – Halifax Finance Inc. because women all over the world have a harder time to access financing to open or grow a business,” says Larder.  Halifax Finance specializes in providing investment readiness and access to angels and venture capital investors.  As a WIN Global Women Summit Director, Larder will travel to one or two countries to teach women entrepreneurship and highlight the importance of education for girls in 2012.

The WIN online network is growing daily and has 500,000 to 1 million hits per month and will host Global Women's Summits in over 152 countries in 2012.
