Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation Adds New Hospitalist to its
Network in San Francisco

(San Francisco, Nov. 16, 2011) – Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, part of the Sutter Health network, announced today the addition of a new physician, Matthew McAndrew, M.D., who has joined the Foundation as a hospitalist.

McAndrew is board-certified in internal medicine and received his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Before joining the Foundation, Dr. McAndrew’s clinical practice included acute hospital care for medical and surgical patients at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

As a Physician Team Leader and Interim Medical Director at Montgomery Hospice in Rockville, Md., Dr. McAndrew headed a group that provided end-of-life care to patients with cancer, chronic organ failure and dementia. He has received a Physician Collaboration Award from Washington Hospital Center; a Physician Pillar of Excellence award for teamwork and integrity from Montgomery General Hospital; and Resident of the Year and Robert. E Carlson awards for Clinical Excellence from Loyola University Medical Center, where he completed his residency.
