Follow on Google News | Lark Mason & iGavel Associates’ Asian Sale Totals Over $3.1 Million on iGavelAuctions.comThe iGavel Auctions sale of Asian, Ancient, and Ethnographic Works of Art presented by Lark Mason and iGavel Associates that closed on November 4th had 303 sold lots resulting in a total of over $3,100,000.
By: Caroline Mosse The top two highest lots sold had 56 bids, reaching a cumulative price of $1.1 million. These lots were a Large Chinese Huanghuali Cabinet from the Kangxi Period, and a Chinese Rhinoceros Horn Libation Cup from the 17th Century. The Lark Mason iGavel Auctions sale included five Rhinoceros Horn Libation Cups. These cups received 96 bids and sold for $1.6 million in total. Included in this were a Chinese Huanghuali Dressing Table Cabinet, 17th Century, a Chinese Calligraphic Scroll, attributed to Zhu Gui, Qianlong Period, and an 11th Century Korean Buddhist Hanging Scroll Painting, Ink/Paint on Paper, each of which sold for over $100,000 including the buyer’s premium. Ten lots from this auction achieved prices above $50,000 and had 282 bids placed. iGavel is a leader in online art auctions.
