The Go-Ped ESR-1000 EX Is Now Available At UrbanScooters.com

Go-Ped's latest release, the ESR-1000 EX extended range electric scooter has been added to UrbanScooters.com's inventory of high end personal transportation product.

Nov. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- The newest extended range Go-Ped ESR-1000 EX is now available for sale through America’s #1 gas and electric scooter online retailer, UrbanScooters.com. There have been a few new product releases over the last year, but this latest release is particularly exciting because of its advanced extended range capabilities. Go-ped has many scooters available and they are always improving upon their already efficient designs, but since range is such a crucial issue with electric scooters, this imporvement is one that is far greater than most advancements that have come out of Go-Ped in the past few years.

The Go-Ped ESR-1000EX as well as the entire line of ESR electric scooter models have come a long way since the line’s creation in the early 2000’s. Go-Ped (aka Patmont Motor Works / PMW) is the leader in personal transportation and they have been since the beginning of their time. The ESR line came later, as the initial rave was about the fast, loud, and fun gas powered scooters that they produced. Now, concern about our environment is catching on and the new demand for environmentally friendly scooters is up. Go-ped addresses the need with the ESR line of electric scooters.

The ESR-1000 EX pushes that technology to the edge with the inclusion of the newest LiFePo4 Lithium Phosphate Polymer batteries. These LiFePo4 batteries are smaller, more efficient and last exponentially longer than the traditional sealed lead acid batteries that were the high-technology batteries of yesterday. Since the new batteries are so much smaller, the manufacturer has found that they can stack the new smaller batteries on top of each other to increase the scooter’s potential. The EX, in ESR1000EX stands for “extended range”, so a rider can go twice as far as they can with the standard ESR1000 model.

Go-Ped uses the same frame, wheels, handlebars, and everything else on their ESR models, so the chassis is already proven and has been for years before. The differences between the ESR's is the battery pack chosen when buying the scooter. There are SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) batteries, LiFePo4 (Lithium Phosphate Polymer) batteries, and the high demand Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) batteries, but they all have their pros and their cons. The SLA batteries are heavy, liquid filled, and not as efficient as its new high-tech competition. The lithium Ion batteries are very small, very efficient, and very long lasting, but the high price is the con with Li-Ion batteries. Enter the newest LiFePo4 batteries in the ESR1000EX. These new LiFePo4 batteries are as efficient as the Li-Ion, and have a price tag closer to the SLA batteries. The LiFePo4 batteries are what makes the ESR-1000 EX such a great scooter to get if a rider wants the cost of the primitive SLA batteries, yet still have a great range like the Li-Ion scooters. The ESR1000EX is a great new advancement and with this new advancement the other scooters will definitely not be as attractive when compared to the newest ESR1000 EX scooter.
