Elite Medical Transport Ambulance Service Gains Praise

El Paso fire officials note their new partnership works efficiently and cited the many stringent controls that were written into its contract as one assurance that ambulance response times will continue to exceed expectations.

The integration of Elite Medical Transport ambulances and El Paso Fire Department first responder fire engines has worked well and company officials believe the system could serve as a model for other emergency services contracts. With that initial success, Elite Medical Transport is continually improving its ambulance service on an almost daily basis.

The average response time for Elite Medical Transport ambulances was 8 minutes, 48 seconds for the month of October, well under the required response time of 15 minutes. El Paso fire engines are dispatched to all EMS calls and Elite Medical Transport ambulances are directly dispatched from the Fire Department’s Regional Dispatch Center, if needed.
