Bridgeport Village Hosts Beavers Vs. Ducks Pep Rally Nov. 23, 2011

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 14, 2011 - TIGARD, Ore. - Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping and dining destination, invites and Beaver and Duck fans to the second annual Beavers vs. Ducks Pep Rally Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 4:30 – 8 p.m. in center court under the giant gazebo.

The Portland-area’s largest pre-game pep rally before Oregon State University and University of Oregon face off November 26 at Autzen Stadium, the Beavers vs. Ducks Pep Rally will feature appearances by both Benny the Beaver and Puddles the Duck, live entertainment from both university cheer squads and live music provided by The Beat Goes On Marching Band. The event and activities are free and open to the public.

“Beaver and Duck fans bring such amazing spirit and energy to Bridgeport Village,” Kiki Hanover, Regional Marketing Director for CenterCal Properties, owners of Bridgeport Village. “Leaning into the holiday weekend, a rivalry game and the final regular-season game for both teams will definitely make this year’s pep rally a great event.”

Bridgeport Village will also host a Duck and Beaver trivia contest, face painting and the ultimate fan costume contest. Fans are also encouraged to bring canned food donations for the Oregon Food Bank. Following the pep rally the Oregon State University Alumni Association will host an alumni reception at McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant.

4:30 – 6:30 p.m.   Duck and Beaver face painting for kids
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.   Performances by University of Oregon and Oregon State cheerleaders
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.   The Beat Goes On Marching Band performs
