redshoes26 design nominated for Visual Artist of the Year

Nov. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Christy Johnson of redshoes26 design has been nominated as Visual Artist of the Year for RAW: Minneapolis, and will find out whether or not she wins the prize on Thursday, Nov. 17, at RAWards at the Fine Line Music Cafe in downtown MInneapolis. The event begins at 8 p.m. and winners will be announced just before midnight.

Johnson participated in the second RAW: Minneapolis showcase at the Fine Line in July, and in October was chosen through an online vote to be a semi-finalist for RAWards. The Nov. 17 RAWards event will feature all semi-finalists in their categories, including Visual Art, Fashion, Accessories, Music, Film, Photography, Performing Art, Hair, and Makeup. Guests at the event will vote live throughout the night for an artist in each category.

If chosen for Visual Artist of the Year for RAW: Minneapolis at RAWards, Johnson would go on to compete in front of national judges for the overall prize of Visual Artist of the Year, and would garner several prestigious awards as well as business opportunities.
