“Italy’s Sardegna: Ancient, Wild, Spectacular”
“Musica in Tuscany: A Summer Festival” will allow travelers to explore the hillside towns of Tuscany and surrounding regions. The central focus of the trip will be a day-long music festival that will take place within the walls of a medieval Tuscan Castle.
“Germany and the Romantic Road” will take travelers on an eight-day excursion through the wine country and medieval walled cities of Franconia, working south through Nurnberg, Munich and ending in the Alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The trip will also feature a stop at the Dachau concentration camp near Munich.
For the first time in 2012, AHA will see several of its trips lead by new guides, with owner and founder Cynthia Quist accompanying as a co-guide. The October “Roma Amor” trip will be led by Judith Testa, former professor of Art History at Northern Illinois University, and author of the widely-acclaimed book “Rome Is Love Spelled Backward: Enjoying Art and Architecture in the Eternal City”.
