The eight-game season includes a "Super Bowl" at Newbury Park High School's football stadium. All other games will be played at Pepper Tree Park in Newbury Park on Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The league is divided into four divisions: kindergarten and first grade, second and third grades, fourth and fifth grades and sixth through eighth grades.
"Kids learn the mechanics and skills of football in this league," says Tom LoBianco, healthy living coordinator at the Miller Y. "It's semi-competitive, especially for the younger players. No experience is necessary."
The cost per player is $140 ($180 for non-YMCA members) and includes a uniform (jersey, shorts and flags). To register, contact Tom LoBianco at 805-480-0309, ext. 109, tlobianco@millerymca.org.
