Now Offering Prescription Wooden Frames from Proof Wood Eye Wear

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 11, 2011 - When Proof first got started, requests from people that were into the “Proof movement” kept asking, can I take these to my optometrists? Pictures started coming in of people that had converted their sunglasses into prescription frames. Proof is pleased to announce that the Boise model is now available in an “optometrist friendly” frame. The frames have been designed for prescription lenses to easily be inserted. These prescription frames are available in ebony and bamboo, with more models and wood types to be released in the future.

Proof’s founder, Brooks Dame, says, “Adding a prescription option to our line up just seemed to be part of the Proof progression. We've been receiving great feedback for all our wooden sunglasses and we constantly were getting fans asking the question, "Can you do a prescription specific frame for me?"

We really owe it to the individuals that support us and are following the whole Proof Wood Eyewear movement. If it wasn’t for their encouragement and suggestions we may not have been releasing our first wood framed prescription glasses.  We are incredibly excited to drop this newest addition to the Proof eyewear lineup.  We see it doing really well going forward. Our first week into the release and we sold out of the first round available.”

Proof was started in 2010 by three brothers, initially they wanting to make bamboo ski poles and then turned to making bamboo eyewear, which then expanded to include other species of wood and all kinds of lenses and tints.
