Coopers Place attracts the attention of one local expert

When searching for a new home, you would consider the opinion of an estate agent to be expert.

Nov. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- That’s why it’s a testimony to the properties at Millgate Homes’ Coopers Place development that Kelly Skelland, of Davis Tate, has purchased one of the magnificent family homes here.

This selection of nine 4 bedroom detached new homes in Burghfield Common, on the outskirts of Reading, has been capturing the attention of discerning house hunters in the area, so much so, that only one property remains, and Kelly and her partner Marc were one of the first families to recognise their superb specification.

Kelly comments: “We have one child, Ivy, and another on the way, so decided it was time to look for a larger home. We have always lived around the Reading area, but when we started searching we were disappointed with what was out there – the homes were small and, overall the quality wasn’t to a high standard.

“I knew about Coopers Place and Millgate Homes’ reputation for building top specification homes, and when we did finally visit the development, we were blown away. It was clear that these properties were in a league of their own.  After walking around the Show Home and seeing the quality workmanship and attention to detail first-hand, our decision was quickly made.”

The remaining home at the development is available for £475,000. As Kelly found, it’s the specification that really sets these new homes in Burghfield Common apart from the competition and has seen Millgate scoop ‘The Best New Home of the Year’ prize at the prestigious Evening Standard Awards three times in the last four years.

The kitchen is elegantly finished; its bespoke floor and wall cabinets are complemented by a host of appliances that, including a five ring gas hob, two electric fan assisted ovens, extractor hood, an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, means purchasers won’t even have to worry about moving the white goods in. The bathroom, en suites and cloakroom are just as well finished, with crisp, white sanitaryware, modern chrome fittings, bespoke vanity units and fitted wall mirrors completing the specification.

Externally, the front and rear gardens to each home have been designed by a Chelsea gold medal winning landscaper to breathtaking effect; with mature shrubs, trees and plants all adding to the feel that these new homes in Burghfield Common have been in place for many years, rather than a matter of months. The fact that each home features a garage and driveway parking only adds to the attraction.

Speaking about what she particularly likes about her new home, Kelly said: “The kitchen is a huge open plan space. With room for dining and also the adjoining conservatory, it’s a place where you can cook or just relax and talk; essentially, it’s the true heart of the home.

“I would definitely recommend buying a Millgate home. As an estate agent, I see many properties and I can honestly say that there’s nothing in the area that’s comparable with Coopers Place, especially for the price. In fact, my friend already lives in one and loves it. We love ours too and if we ever feel the need to move in the future, we know who we’ll go to first.”

Just one home currently remains at Coopers Place, however, a new phase of properties will be launching in spring 2012. To find out more about the homes, visit the Show Home, which is open daily from 10am - 4pm, Tel: 0118 983 4089 or go to www.millgatehomes.co.uk
