Billingsley Company announced the dramatic renovation of its Gramercy Center North Lobby today.

Nov. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- (DALLAS, Texas) November 10, 2011 — Billingsley Company, equally passionate about fine art as smart commercial development, today announced the dramatic renovation of its Gramercy Center North Lobby.

The newly minted Gramercy Center North and South is the result of Billingsley’s recent acquisition of the Landmark I and II office buildings in northwest Dallas which were acquired via a partnership earlier this year between Billingsley and Stockbridge Real Estate. The purchase added another 250,000 square feet of office space to Billingsley’s holdings, which now total 1.3 million square feet within the submarket.

“The new lobby is a complete transformation reflecting Billingsley’s signature style found throughout our properties as we strive to create work environments that are both sophisticated and casual, enhancing the lifestyles of our clients,” says Billingsley partner Lucy Burns.

The design scheme which was a collaboration between Olga Acosta, RID Associate and
Frank Effland, AIA, both of HKS, features an impressive artwork collection that includes a large blue calligraphy by Qin Feng and three smaller calligraphy pieces by Chen Hsing-Wan. All of the pieces are part of Lucy Billingsley’s private art collection.

To complement the art, Brownco Construction fabricated custom rift cut white oak benches, adding modern flair to the communal spaces. MCL Construction revitalized the lobby’s interior to showcase the new sleek lines, selecting a contemporary color palette as well as new porcelain tile and a modern geometric patterned carpet throughout the facility. All existing woodwork was refinished to a satin appearance. Eagle Landscape also modernized the plant beds using river stone to create a Zen-like setting and controlled exterior plant beds which meld with the interior design.

“This five week project has made a dramatic impact on the building. The fresh, modern interiors accomplish our vision for this building and will enhance our tenants’ everyday work experience,” continues Burns.

The new improvements and large blocks of vacancy at the intersection of 190 and the Tollway make the new Gramercy Center developments extremely attractive buildings for professional office tenants.
