510nano to Present at MAVA's TechBUZZ during DCWeek

Nov. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- After reviewing over 100 applications from Metro DC start-up companies, 510nano, Inc. emerged as one of 24 innovative companies selected by the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA) to present at TechBuzz, the region’s premier seed-stage pitch event, designed for innovative pre-revenue companies and for those angel and qualified investors looking to invest.  The event will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 8:00 AM at the Artisphere-Spectrum Theater in Arlington, VA.

510nano has developed, submitted a patent application, and tested its new technology, better known as Scavenger.  Scavenger’s uniqueness is its ability to simultaneously generate electricity through concentrated photovoltaic technology and concentrated solar thermal devices.  This capability allows us to reduce installation costs from $3.30/W today to $1.50/W.  510nano is seeking venture funds to certify Scavenger and build a utility-scale demonstration farm using the technology.
