Social Capital to Host November 19 Event to Raise Money for Three Local Charities

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 9, 2011 - What: A party with a purpose. The November 19 event is a way for Twin Cities residents to raise money for charity in an accessible, fun way. This simplistic event—modeled as a night out with friends—is a way for people to be philanthropic just by partaking in typical Saturday night activities.

Who: Social Capital is a group of philanthropists that believe giving back should be fun and accessible. They hold quarterly events at various local hotspots in support of three different causes at each event. These events are open to anyone. All are encouraged to attend.  

Why: Numerous philanthropic organizations in Minneapolis-St.Paul need funding and awareness. Social Capital leverages social connections and sharing to create events where these causes gain vital exposure and raise funds that will help them meet their goals. Social Capital will be raising funds for Avenues for Homeless Youth, Hope for the City and The Jeremiah Program at the upcoming event on November 19.

Who Should Attend: Anyone in the Twin Cities interested in socializing, mingling, meeting new people, having fun and helping others. There is no cost to attend. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation.

Cost: Attendees are encouraged to make a donation—as much or as little as they can—to a cause of their choice at the event. Causes will be present at the event, allowing attendees to learn more about the charity they choose to support.
