Former NFL Lineman Tra Thomas Named Spokesperson for Torre Big and Tall

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 9, 2011 - Tra Thomas, the 6-7, 300-lbs. former Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle, was named as spokesperson for Torre, the big and tall men’s clothing store at 1217 S. Broad St.; Torre’s website (www.torrebigandtall.com); and a health, training and nutritional expert for Torre’s forthcoming cyber community (www.livingthebiglife.com), which will focus on lifestyles of big and tall men and women, it was announced today by Mark Rosenfeld, Torre’s owner.

Rosenfeld said Thomas, a three-time NFL Pro Bowl selection, is only the second Torre spokesperson in the store’s 74-year history. The late Reggie White, one of the most popular players to play for the Eagles, was the Torre spokesperson from 1985 through 1992.

“Tra Thomas understands what it means to be a big and tall person, what it takes keep your body healthy and strong, and how to enhance your appearance with the proper clothing and accessories,” Rosenfeld said. “Tra will be the face of Torre on our signage, advertising, website and an expert personality and contributor on our forthcoming “Living the Big Life” cyber community. We’re very excited to have him on our team.”

Since retiring from football last year, Thomas has opened 7 Deuce Sports, a strength and conditioning training center in Medford, NJ, and is a frequent sports commentator on Comcast SportsNet.

Rosenfeld is the third-generation owner of Torre, the nation’s largest independently owned big and tall clothing store for men, which opened in 1937 as a small men’s clothing factory in South Philadelphia. The present Torre location at 1217 S. Broad St. opened in 1982.
