The Idea Show House is also highly sustainable and designed to be at least 50% more energy-efficient than homes built just ten years ago.  The home is filled with practical green features such as a geothermal heating and cooling system, drought resistant landscaping and low-flow irrigation, and sustainable and/or local materials throughout the home.  

What was the inspiration behind this new home?  To design and build the perfect house for today’s new buyer, and to inspire metro-Detroiters by illustrating a convenient, interactive, sustainable lifestyle that today’s families are looking for.  The idea seems to have become reality, as over 500 people toured through the home in just one weekend!
