Cape Coral Author signing new book at Beacon Bowl in Naples

Nov. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- A book signing with author R.J. Friedman of Cape Coral will be held from 10 am to 2:00 pm,Saturday, November 12, at Beacon Bowl, 5400 N. Tamiami Trail, Naples. The cost of
the book is $12.95. Tee shirts will also be available.

Friedman, 55, an avid bowler for 30 years in Michigan and Florida and a 10-time team
league champion, seeks to increase the interest of the sport of bowling in children 5 to 9 years old and  promote family fun and support.

The storyline of the book follows the main character Bobby the Bowler.  As Bobby grows up he enjoys knocking down soda cans with his ball. He learns about the sport of bowling from his parents and, as a family outing, they go bowling at the Town Bowling Center,  where  Bobby meets boys and girls his age having fun. Bobby bowls most weekends he teams up with four friends and they form a team, the Fearless Five, enter a children’s bowling league and end up in the championship bowling for the prize trophy. It’s a story of positive family support, building close friendships, learning decision
making and  good sportsmanship.

“It’s adorable and fun!” says Lisa Ciniello, owner of Bowland, Inc. that includes six
bowling centers in Southwest Florida from Port Charlotte to Naples.

signing at Beacon Bowl, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, on Saturday November 12th.

About the Author

R.J. Friedman, formerly of Ferndale, Michigan and a team member of the “Fearless Five,”
relocated to Cape Coral, Florida in 2000.

Friedman is currently league secretary for the Men’s Monday Night Bowling League in Cape Coral,
the largest men’s league in SW Florida, and is a proud member of the Southwest Florida Bowling
Association USBC board.
