Rodrigues, PP/AICP, NJBA Director of Land Use & Regulatory Affairs Received Two Planning Awards

Nov. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- The New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) is pleased to announce that Carlos Rodrigues, PP / AICP, Director of Land Use & Regulatory Affairs received two Planning Awards from the American Planning Association – New Jersey Chapter.

Rodrigues was honored with awards in the following categories: Achievement in Urban Design for his work on the Borough of Bound Brook Downtown Urban Design Plan and Achievement in Advocacy and Education for co-authoring “Out and About: A Guide to Sustainable Local Circulation Planning.”

The Planning Awards honor planning initiatives, built projects, individuals and organizations that are in the forefront of planning and design in New Jersey. Rodrigues received the awards on November 3rd at the 2011 New Jersey Planning Awards Conference at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick.

He holds a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University and a Diploma in Architecture from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts. He is a Charter Member of the Congress for a New Urbanism, a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and American Planning Association and a licensed New Jersey Professional Planner.
