Nov 08, 2011 - Atlanta, GA, November 8, 2011 – The Golden Soldiers, Inc., a faith based 501c(3) non-profit organization which focuses on spreading the meaning of the Golden Rule as well as hosting events for individuals with special needs, today announced the appointment of Jessica Black as the official Spokesperson and Director of Fundraising. Black will focus on strategic fundraising programs and partnerships designed to build upon the efforts of hosting events for individuals with special needs. She will also be at the forefront of The Golden Soldiers as the official spokesperson where she will be spreading awareness about the different events and services the organization provides to the special needs community.

"Dare to Dream…Take the Journey" is the motto Jessica Black now lives by. Jessica dared to dream and took the journey into the beautiful city of lights of Las Vegas, Nevada on July 16th, 2010. Jessica competed against girls from all across the country and was selected by a panel of 10 judges to be Miss United States 2010. After traveling the US and Asia and completing over 300+ events throughout her year, Jessica is no stranger to being dynamic and pushing the envelope for success.
“I’m thrilled to be joining The Golden Soldiers, Inc. as a voluntary Board Member” said Black. “There are over 177,000 individuals with special needs from the ages of 3-21 in the state of Georgia alone. It is clear that The Golden Soldiers, Inc. is well positioned to provide excellent events that will continue to make a difference for the special needs community. I am looking forward to helping the organization reach as many individuals in the special needs community as possible and raise the funds necessary to fulfill the visions and dreams of The Golden Soldiers.”
Jessica is an honors graduate of the University of Georgia and began her career at IBM in Global Consulting Sales. She now works as the Director of Sales & Marketing for a rapidly growing IT Software Development company in Atlanta, GA. called Premier Logic.
