PRLog - Nov. 7, 2011 - THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- SIMI VALLEY, CALIF.--Registration for the Simi Valley Family YMCA's "Activate Simi Valley" healthy living program begins November 25. The free program encourages participants to make healthy life changes, in part, through weekly confidential weigh-ins. They will also receive nutrition and exercise materials and can attend talks from prominent health professionals.
Activate Simi Valley
The goal of Activate Simi Valley is for participants to lose a total of 12,000 pounds in eight weeks. Groups and businesses are encouraged to participate in the Corporate/Group Challenge. Confidential individual results will be automatically calculated as part of the total group's weight loss.
The program officially begins January 12, 2012 with a kick-off event at the Simi YMCA (3200 Cochran St., Simi Valley) and runs through March 2. To register prior to the kick-off, go to www.activatesimivalley.org. For more information, call the Y at 805-583-5338.
