Anderson, SC—Ambrose Johnson and Will Taylor of AgSouth Farm Credit expressed appreciation and gratitude to four deserving young men of the FFA Chapter of Hanna Westside Extension Campus.  The four students Logan Wilbanks, Tucker Wilbanks, Hunter Jones, and Trevor Stamey were each presented with a check from the Anderson office of AgSouth Farm Credit.  These deserving young men actively worked on the AgSouth Demonstration Farm under the instruction of their FFA Advisor, Jay Copelan. The funds received were used to assist with the costs of attending the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

For many months, these four students have worked in the Demonstration Farm at AgSouth Farm Credit sharpening their skills and learning both farming techniques and how best to market their end product.  The students grew vegetable crops including corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, squash, okra, pumpkins, hot peppers and even cotton.  

Will Taylor, loan officer with AgSouth Farm Credit states “it has been a pleasure to collaborate with these hard working young men.  They are truly passionate about agriculture and have worked many long and hard hours in the garden.”
