Small Hands Big Art Announces Nov. 17 Adult Wool Felting Workshop

Nov. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Small Hands Big Art, a South Charlotte children's art studio, announces an adult wool felting craft workshop that will take place on Thursday evening, November 17, 2011.  The workshop is open to the public and will take place at the Small Hands Big Art studio located at 8025 Ardrey Kell Rd., at The Fountains shopping center in South Charlotte.

The Felted Wool Ball Workshop will take place Thursday evening, November 17, 2011 from 7-9pm.  The cost of the workshop is $30, which includes all materials.  During the workshop, participants will learn how to make small felted wool balls – great for stringing into a garland for holiday decorations, or making necklaces, jewelry or other crafts!  Participants will learn a wet felting technique using natural wool roving, and will be able to dye their wool balls a variety of festive colors.  After a brief demonstration, participants will be able to make as many felted wool balls as they are able to during the two hour workshop, working at their own pace.

Water and soda will be provided and participants are welcome to bring their own bottle of wine and snacks.
