Nov. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Louisville, Ky. –ASAP Automation (www.asapauto.com) recently participated in renovation activities at Volunteers of America of Kentucky’s Shelby Street Substance Abuse Treatment Campus in Louisville. As part of a corporate-wide program, ASAP dedicated its staff to a “Day of Caring,” in which the company works with a charity of its choosing to support its community service efforts. As part of the renovations at Volunteers of America, the ASAP team helped repaint interior spaces on an entire floor at the Shelby Street facility in Louisville’s Germantown neighborhood.

“Part of our mission as a company is to help out in various community efforts,” said Damir Kantardzic, president at ASAP Automation. “Volunteers of America provides a valuable service in the local community here in Louisville, and we were very proud to be a part that.”

As part of the facility’s services, it provides life skills training, individual and group counseling, employment readiness, and long-term housing to residents. In its commitment to providing quality community services, Volunteers of America is working with community supporters to make upgrades at the facility, including electrical, plumbing, and structural improvements, as well as new paint, furnishings, and signage.

“Volunteers of America works to organize and engage volunteerism in the community, so we were extremely pleased to work with the team at ASAP to help out with the renovations at our Shelby Street location,” said Tandee Ogburn, community engagement program manager at VOA. “The company’s support enables us to continue our mission of creating positive change in the lives of individuals and the community.”
