Follow on Google News | 19th Seattle Polish Film Festival opening November 4th at SIFF CinemaThe 19th annual Seattle Polish Film Festival will present over 20 films including the best of this year's feature, independent, documentaries and animated films from Poland as well as accompanying guests.
By: Seattle Polish Film Festival This year’s festival will open with the screening of Joanna directed by Feliks Falk. This movie describes the dramatic story of a young woman who hides and cares for a Jewish girl during World War II. The Festival Reception for donors, sponsors, festival-pass holders, and VIP guests will be hosted at Ten Mercer starting at 4pm on Sunday, November 6th. The guests of honor will be the Director and Producer of Black Thursday, Antoni Krauze and Kazimierz Beer, respectively. Black Thursday tells the powerful story of the December 1970 strike against communist authority. Other guests include Ewa Kasprzyk and Jakub Michalski, lead actress and producer of the controversial movie Snow Queen. Kasprzyk also stars in Career of Nikos Dyzma, a comedy about accidental success.
