Extreme Networks, Inc.  today announced it has earned top marks for the data centre market by The Dell’Oro Group, Gartner, Inc. and Info-Tech Research Group.

In three separate reports, Extreme Networks is recognised for its open fabric data centre solutions. These solutions include its BlackDiamond® and Summit® Ethernet switches.

The Dell’Oro Group rated Extreme Networks as a top five vendor for data centre revenue and total Ethernet ports shipped (Top or Rack fixed and End of Row modular switches)

Gartner, in its recent Competitive Landscape report for the Data Center, included Extreme Networks in the “data network specialist” category, joining the only other competitors Juniper and Brocade in the same category.  

Info-Tech Research Group rated Extreme Networks as a “champion” in the data centre and hosted cloud markets.  Extreme Networks was the only vendor rated “exemplary” for its data centre products.
