Screenwriter Bianca Biagioni Qualifies As Finalist In Int'l Filmmakers Screenwriting Awards

Nov. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Screenplay "BOCCE GAMES" written by up-and-coming screenwriter Bianca Biagioni has been picked as a finalist in the very prestigious 10th Annual Filmmakers International Screenwriting Awards after having just secured a spot as a top ten finalist at La Femme International Film Festival this past month.

"BOCCE GAMES", part one of a trilogy, follows the story of Frankie and Julia as they try to balance true love while growing up in a violent and perilous world of the Italian Mafia. The romance between Frankie and Julia leaps off the page and sets this piece apart from other mafia films. The family dynamic is rich, dangerous and loving in its own way and allows the seductive world of Italy to shine. Themes of independence, family, loss of innocence, and love permeate the script and create a most fulfilling experience.

Bianca Biagioni moved to Los Angeles six years ago where she has since worn many hats in the entertainment field. She assistant directed on the short film "Grasshopper" starring James Franco and Rachel Miner as well as on the feature film "The Switch" starring Ethan Phillips, Jude Ciccolella, and James Morrison, set to be released next near. After wrapping "The Switch", she moved into ABC studios and started her own production company Eternal Productions with her mother and partner Aby Elena Tortelli. After producing an indie horror film called "Rock Point" starring Sonia Rockwell and then production being put on hold because of actor/director availability reasons, Bianca decided to shift her focus to the development side and began screenwriting. Currently, Bianca continues to write screenplays, DJ, and produce music with an EP set to be released this winter.
