Follow on Google News | 2013 Audi A4 Allroad to Arrive Next June2013 Audi A4, A4 Avant, S4, and new for US A4 Allroad were reveled today and set to arrive in US showrooms by June 2012.
By: Global Test Driver, Inc The ‘revisions’ The bigger news is regarding the powertrains. In Europe the A4 buyer gets a choice of six, yes 6, TDI diesel engines and four different FSI gas engines. All of which feature forced induction and direct injection. Word on which of these will make it to the States is still up in the air. What we do know is that the S4 will be receiving a revised 3.0L TFSI V6 making 329hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. This is down from the 2012 model which makes 333hp and 325 lb-ft or torque. The slight change in output does net a slight increase in fuel economy as well averaging 29mpg on European cycle. Inside the A4 lineup changes are very minor. A new steering wheel and shift knob are present, just as with the A5 lineup. Also new is the choice of the gorgeous wood trims we have seen in the new A6 and A7 as of late. Probably the biggest news to us here in the States is the arrival of the A4 Allroad for 2013. The last Allroad seen here on US shores was the A6 Allroad which left us wanting more in 2005. This car is based on the A4 Avant but receives some modest off-road treatment like a raised suspension and injection molded plastic side skirts and lower front and rear fascias. As for pricing, Audi hasn’t release this yet, but expect it to not be far off of the current models. For the 2012 model year the A4 Sedan starts at $32,500, the A4 Avant at $36,400, and the S4 Sedan from $47,300. As for the 2013 Audi A4 Allroad, expect that to start somewhere right around the $40,000 mark. Look for the newly revised A4, A4 Avant, S4, and new-to-the-US A4 Avant in showrooms next June.
