New Interactive Print Magazine Designed Entirely on an iPad

Nov. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Today marks the launch of Los Angeles' latest addition to their magazine pool: Thursday Magazine.

Thursday Magazine is a free print magazine for the Los Feliz/Atwater Village communities of Los Angeles and is released the first Thursday of every month. "It's meant to inform and inspire the people of Los Feliz/Atwater Village and it's surrounding communities with stories and interviews about local people and places," says Matthew Sackett, creator of Thursday (the magazine, that is). "And I'm proud to say that it's the first print magazine to be designed on an iPad."

Another exciting aspect of the magazine is how you can interact with it. Through the use of QR code technology, the magazine seems to come to life. "It's actually pretty cool," says Sackett. "When you scan one of the QR codes, there's a guide to place your phone onto the magazine and watch it come alive."

From historic (like the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round) to the up-and-coming (local rock duo Hellbeat of the Night), Thursday Magazine hopes to be a breath of fresh air to the community.
