PRLog -- Cheapest iPhone Contracts investigates, since the announcement and launch of the iPhone 4S there has to put it mildly some moaning about the incremental update not fulfilling the hype surrounding the long awaited device. The longer than usual product refresh lead to the rumour mill going into overdrive about the device receiving a full facelift and hardware upgrade. Now looking back at the iPhones of old 4 isn’t enough really to fully understand how Apple was or is going to go about their annual re-invisioning of the device. The first iPhone was quite frankly a marvel for its time the first truly touchscreen smartphone, the problem being Apple left out 3G the mobile internet standard which until that time hadn’t really been fully appreciated. This led to the anticipated 3G version, Apple kept the rounded design but scaled back production costs with a cheap looking plastic backing the 3GS kept the design and only saw internal upgrades along with the yearly iOS update. It seemed the reason for the design to stay the same was the name. Apple couldn’t do an iPhone 3 as the 3G had kind of taken that so we would have to wait for the 4 before everything could fall into place. The 4 was the new design the new device it was hot it was different it was what we were waiting for. We expected from then on Apple had the smartphone market down they were leaders and would have us drooling over each advancing device for years to come. We expected serious change every year to keep the competition struggling to get out of the ditch but with the 4S that didn’t happen. To be honest the iPhone 4 design is gorgeous it’s so well built and looks better than the competition with their plastic designs. The 4S delivered the hardware specs we actually wanted but people suddenly didn’t care the insides had changed when it didn’t deliver the side to side display or multi gesture home button rumours had filled out heads with, no it wasn’t enough but having said that it is the fastest selling Smartphone of all time. Cheapest iPhone Contracts has a theory, the iPhone 5 is still coming, it’s going to be released around the time the new iPad 3 is released. Now this is only a theory but the guys here at Cheapest iPhone Contracts have been thinking about it, did you hear the adorable conspiracy that the 4S is actually 4Steve? I would dearly love to believe it is true as the theory goes (and we have added to it our own thoughts) the iPhone 5 has been in development for a year and around the time it become apparent Steve Jobs was living on borrowed time the iPhone 5 was halted from going into production. Franticly the design team took the iPhone 4 and fitted it out with improved hardware and along with the addition of Siri which they had been improving since the purchase of the company and they bought out the iPhone 4S later than would have been originally planned an update to pay tribute to the Apple visionary Steve Jobs, a device meant to lul the competition into a false sense of security which would fill the hole in the market and allow the developing iPhone 5 to await the soon arrival of the likes of the A6 chip and 4G chips which don’t compromise the phones design. So is that it? Well at Cheapest iPhone Contracts we thought a little deeper, the next device can’t be called the 5 if it is released along with the iOS6 update that would ruin everything and it would seem odd to call it the 6 after having a 4S so what are we thinking? Well iOS5 gets a nice update around the March time with the new iPad, which we will be expecting around the same time, now Apple can’t release a new phone without a major iOS update so expect version 5.5 to carry some cool new phone and tablet features. It’s certainly an interesting thought as do you really think Apple would release the 4S and disappoint the market in spite of our unrelenting desire for the device even now? Well we think Apple wants us and the competition to keep guessing and don’t want to be predictable when it comes to their best selling product as it would be dangerous for the tech giant to gamble and loose when it comes to the iPhone.
