“Safety has always been our top priority at Mountain Aviation and is the reason we chose to undergo the rigorous, multi-day on-site audit to move from ARGUS Gold status to ARGUS Platinum and IS-BAO Stage 1,” said founder and current President Rich Bjelkevig. “The ability to complete both the ARGUS Platinum and IS-BAO Stage 1 audits simultaneously was a great fit for us. I’m extremely proud of our Safety, Operations, and Maintenance departments as well as our entire employee group who made this achievement possible.”
“ARGUS is pleased to welcome Mountain Aviation to the exclusive global list of ARGUS Platinum Rated operators,” said Joe Moeggenberg, ARGUS President and CEO. “Becoming an ARGUS Platinum Rated operator and achieving IS-BAO Stage 1 registration is an enormous accomplishment and we congratulate the entire Mountain Aviation team on this momentous occasion. It is great to see operators like Mountain Aviation who acknowledge the importance of building an organization focused around safety and quality achieve the ARGUS Platinum Rating.”
The IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) is administered by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), and has seen significant growth in activity in recent years, as it has global ramifications for business aircraft operators and state regulators, particularly in the promotion of Safety Management Systems (SMS). The ARGUS Platinum Rating continues to be the most widely recognized confirmation of quality for charter operations by both passengers and/or buyers of charter services.
ARGUS PROS (Partners and Resources for Operational Safety), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ARGUS International, is the only audit organization that has developed its own industry-leading audit standard for charter operators and also holds authorizations from two world-recognized standards organizations. ARGUS PROS is authorized by both the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and IBAC to perform audits utilizing their respective standards, IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and IS-BAO.
