IAOP Offers New Outsourcing Business Development Professional Certification and Training Workshop

Nov. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, Nov. 1 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) today expanded its professional certifications with a new designation in business development.
The association also added a new training program to help individuals obtain the new Certified Outsourcing Professional in Business Development (COP-BD) designation.
The COP-BD designation demonstrates a professional has specialized knowledge of and experience in business development, marketing, sales, account management, relationship management and service delivery/execution.  
To obtain the COP-BD certification, professionals first must have the Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP) designation that demonstrates they have the knowledge and experience to design, implement and manage outsourcing relationships. Candidates also must have three or more years of outsourcing business development experience.

IAOP is launching a new “Service Provider Business Development Workshop” that will cover the skills and knowledge providers of all sizes need to deal with complex and rapidly changing market realities and challenges.

The workshop will cover such areas as developing and maintaining a competitive advantage and attractive value propositions; dealing with growing competition from companies in developing countries; rising protectionism in developed countries; developing integrated global marketing, sales and service delivery; and operational strategies to support the demands of multinational customers and others.

Professionals must complete the specialized one-day Business Development Workshop live or online and pass the 50-question certification exam in addition to the experience requirement to gain the COP-BD designation.                                          

The COP-BD certification is the newest in a group of expanded certification programs launched by IAOP under the Outsourcing Professional Certification Framework™ (OPCF) with a full range of certifications for individuals at every career level.
