The show is directed and choreographed by recent transplant Darcy Hogan, with musical direction by Brad Capshaw, and will be performed Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at the Newport Performing Arts Center from November 11-27, 2011. THE FULL MONTY is an uplifting story of redemption with a great deal of heart, themes everyone can relate to, and award-winning musical numbers. Layered with a tightly woven storyline, this stage adaptation of 1997 British film by the same name centers around a group of unemployed steelworkers who are frustrated with life, women and work. When Jerry (Josh Lawrence) finds out he may lose custody of his son, he and five friends hatch an unlikely (and daring) plan to make some quick cash. After seeing their wives' enthusiasm for a touring company of professional male strippers, the men decide that, regardless of looks, ability or anything else, they will put on their own strip act at a local club. In the process, they band together to face their fears and anxieties head-on ... from being overweight to feeling inadequate, to plain old loneliness. What they find is that, together, they can overcome just about anything.

Director/choreographer Darcy Hogan is a recent transplant to Newport from Southern California, where she earned critical acclaim as both an actor and director. She is 25-year veteran of the stage, a former acting company member of the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival, an award-winning playwright and former Burlesque dancer/choreographer. This is her first production in Oregon.
The talented cast of The Full Monty includes local favorite Josh Lawrence in the lead role of Jerry Lukowski, Erik Furuheim as Dave, Justin Atkins as Malcolm, Jarvis Simmons as Horse, Steve Travis as Harold and Jody Stetcher as Ethan.
