Sunbury Press Bestseller List for October 2011 - "Paupers" strike it rich!

Sunbury Press has released the bestseller list for the month of October, 2011. Guy Graybill's moonshine sequel "Prince and the Paupers" was first overall. Charles Godfrey's Civil War novel "The Final Charge" claimed the lead of the eBook category.

Nov. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Camp Hill, PA - "Prince and the Paupers", Guy Graybill's sequel to "Prohibition's Prince" about a local moonshiner and his retinue pre-sold into the thousands of copies and claimed the top spot overall. Charles Godfrey's revisionist Civil War fantasy, "The Final Charge" led all eBooks. Joanne Risso's elementary education activity book about water conservation debuted at #2 overall. Carolyn Perry's "For Better, For Worse: Patient in the Maelstrom", a memoir about her Hurricane Katrina ordeal with her husband who was a cancer patient, held onto #2 in eBooks. Nonfiction books captured seven of the top ten spots overall and four of the top ten eBooks.

Guy Graybill's 2010 bestseller "Prohibition's Prince" held strong at #5, as sales of it's sequel generated sales of the original volume.

Joe Farrell and Joe Farley's late October release of "Keystone Tombstones Volume One", in time for Halloween, sold very well debuting at #3.  

Milo Thornberry's "Fireproof Moth" continued to sell well, at times ranking #1 among Taiwan histories on Amazon, ranking 4th in print and 3rd in eBooks for the company.

Lebanese author Karim El Koussa saw his new novel "The Phoenician Code" debut at #5 and his best-selling novel "Pythagoras the Mathemagician" jump to #7 in advance of his November US tour.

Jolene Busher's beautifully illustrated "Patchtown", released this month, ranked #8 on strong sales to the Eckley Miner's Village, the setting for the vignettes.

Bob Ford's "Beagle Tales", last month's top-seller hung onto #9. James Campbell's "The Holiness of Water" took the 10th spot. Both books are by ministers.

Chris Fenwick's "the 100th Human" held #4 in eBooks. Lawrence Knorr's "A Pennsylvania Mennonite and the California Gold Rush" jumped to #6 after it's price was raised. Novels by Robert Broomall, Will Lee and L.D. Knorr took the next three spots followed by Michele Livingston's "Messages from Beyond".

Sunbury Press had its BEST MONTH EVER. Sales year over year for the month of October were more than 4x last year. Both eBook and print sales continued to rise. eBook sales comprised approximately 3% of overall sales, in line with industry trends.
