Nov. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- (WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA) Craig T. Greenlee, sports writer and accomplished photographer, has just released his debut title, November Ever After: A memoir of tragedy and triumph in the wake of the 1970 Marshall football plane crash.

The tragedy that befell Marshall University on November 14, 1970 is well known and will be a forever fascinating part of college football history. But what’s been revealed up until now contains a number of missing links.

Greenlee’s November Ever After fills that void; with the details only a seasoned journalist could dig up, and with the reverence only someone personally touched by the tragedy could deliver.

A number of facts about the Marshall story have been curiously left out in other media portrayals. A few examples include:

•   Ed Carter, a former MU player who missed the fatal trip, started an evangelical ministry as a result of him not being on that plane. Ed’s global ministry is still going strong today.
•   Dickie Carter (no relation to Ed) was one of Marshall’s star running backs. DC, though, quit the team a few weeks before the crash. He’s been forgotten about; some might say that he’s been deliberately overlooked. For the first time, Dickie opens up and speaks his peace.
•   The plane crash more than likely averted what could have been a full-scale race riot on the MU campus.

The above is just a sampling; Greenlee covers much, much more.

With the anniversary just weeks away, credit must be given to the media that have done their part in keeping the spirit of the Marshall football tragedy alive, but those versions have been incomplete. Read November Ever After and get the raw, humbling story as told by those who were there.

Greenlee will be hosting an event at the Winston-Salem Barnes & Noble on Saturday, November 12 from 4:00-6:00pm EST. All are encouraged to stop in.

What people are saying about November Ever After: “This book is a "must read". Whether you remember reading about the Marshall University tragedy, hearing about it or as the author relates "living through it and living with it," you will experience a profound sense of "connection" to the events that occurred on that fateful night. The author has done, in my opinion, a masterful job of relating the "intimate" details of the much broader and far-reaching significance of one of the most devastating tragedies in college sports history.” - Oswald L. Roach, Amazon reviewer
