Toenail fungus is a common issue. Approximately 10 percent of the population has it, and for those 50 or older, the chance of getting toenail fungus increases to 30 percent.

The laser treats toenail fungus by penetrating the toenail and killing the fungus with the laser’s heat. All 10 toenails must be treated at the same time to minimize the chance of re-infection. The entire procedure lasts about 40 minutes, but the nails won’t be cleared immediately. They will clear as the damaged, previously infected nails grow out and are replaced by healthy toenails.
