Snell & Wilmer Adds two Attorneys to the Phoenix Office

Nov. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that it has added two associates to the Phoenix office. Julie Maurer joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group and Erin Szajna joined the firm’s Real Estate Group.

Maurer’s practice is focused in litigation. She has served as first and second chair for bench and jury trials in state and federal court as well as public and private-operated arbitrations. Maurer's practice includes defending all areas of tort liability claims, including toxic tort and wrongful death claims; representing clients in business related disputes; and representing carriers, brokers and intermediaries in freight loss, tariff collection, and other transportation issues. Maurer earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Rolla. She went on to earn her J.D from University of Notre Dame Law School where she was solicitation editor and symposium chair for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy. Maurer also received her M.P.A., summa cum laude, from Arizona State University. Maurer is a graduate of the 2010 IADC Trial Academy held at Stanford Law School.  

Szajna’s practice is focused in real estate where she previously represented, on a national basis, buyers, sellers, owners and developers in all aspects of the acquisition, development and disposition of commercial, agricultural, industrial and medical use properties. She has also represented landlords and tenants in all types of retail, industrial, office and medical office building leases and management agreements and in all aspects of the leasing process, including the negotiation of leases, work letters, extension agreements, termination and work out agreements, SNDAs, estoppel certificates and related documents. Szajna received her B.S. from Arizona State University. She went on to earn her J.D. from Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law where she graduated Order of the Barristers and received Pro Bono Distinction.
