New Metal Band Outcome of Betrayal Competing in Battle for Pointfest

How often do you get to see a new band rise to greater heights before your eyes? The new band Outcome of Betrayal is working to give you that opportunity. They are participating in a competition that will land them on the side stage for Pointfest.

 
PRLog - Oct. 31, 2011 - The rising band Outcome of Betrayal has entered the competition for Battle for Pointfest in Saint Louis Missouri. The winning band will be given the opening slot on the upcoming Pointfest festival. Winners will play the Pop’s Side Stage at Pointfest.

The Pointfest event is sponsored by 105.7 The Point radio and by Pop’s Night Club. Bands compete and are judged on originality, musicianship, stage presence, and even by how much the audience participates. Many nationally recognized metal and alternative bands have played the stages of the Verizon Amphitheatre at Pointfest throughout the years. The festival is held twice yearly.

Members of the St. Louis metal band share a love for music and a desire to reach out to and relate to their listeners. The band is made up of five members. Vocalist James Simpson is joined by guitarist Brian Crangle, as well as guitarist Alex Hughes who also does vocals. Mark Drago is the bass player, and Patrick Sommer is on drums.

The band has been heavily influenced by the metal music of such bands as Soilwork, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, As I Lay Dying, and Haste the Day. Outcome of Betrayal shares the commitment to outstanding vocals and amazing instrumentals to provide just the right inspirational focus.

Bass player Mark Drago explained, “We make music to inspire people and get a message across.”

The band tackles such positive issues as appreciating life to its fullest in their popular new song, “Right of Passage.” Right of Passage is the first song to be released from their new EP. The song is available at the Outcome of Betrayal website. Three more songs are set to follow after Christmas.

Outcome of Betrayal is just getting started on its way to becoming a hit as a metal band with a message. Contests like the Battle for Pointfest are giving them the opportunity to showcase their abilities and charisma. The scene at the St. Louis event is sure to be enjoyable and exciting. Listeners can expect to hear more about the success of Outcome of Betrayal in the near future.

Outcome of Betrayal is a metal rock band from St Louis Missouri. The metal band was originally formed in 2008. The five band members include James Simpson on vocals, Brian Crangle on guitar, Alex Hughes on vocals and guitar, Mark Drago on bass and Patrick Sommer on drums.
