Consulting and Research Organization Launches Global Expeditions to Tanzania & Zanzibar

It’s often an unsought experience for Americans to vacation in Tanzania, Africa. But Dr. Kelly Lewis, President and Founder of GlobeCore, has opened the expeditions to students and working adults.

Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, Georgia (October 31, 2011) Many travelers choose exotic destinations such as the Bahamas or Jamaica; but as our world becomes more global, organizations like Global Consulting & Research (GlobeCore), Inc. are opting to take expeditions to some of the world’s most beautiful sites in the most unlikely places.

It’s often an unsought experience for most Americans to vacation in Tanzania, Africa, but for the past 2 years one scientist, has led study abroad trips to Tanzania for University students.   Dr. Kelly M. Lewis, President and Founder of GlobeCoRe, established the trip with her team of research consultants in 2009 in an effort to expose travelers to the rich history and culture of Tanzania while exploring the many social ills (e.g. skin bleaching, educational/economic disparities) affecting Tanzanian communities.

As Dr. Lewis rolls into her third year leading the expedition, GlobeCoRe has now made this immersion experience available to the general public (by demand) for those who want to travel with our group and still bring along friends and family while meeting new friends and gaining new experiences and perspectives along the way.  To some, this trip is about gaining a rich experience in East African culture and heritage; and to others its about finally going home.  After all, the Tanzania/Zanzibar region was the main hub for the East African slave trade and a major settlement during the colonial era. Still for others, this trip is a profound opportunity to see some of the world’s most widely cited tourist attractions such as Mt. Kilimanjaro, The Serengeti National Park, Ngorogoro Crater, Lake Manyara, the Rift Valley, Maasai Land, The Cradle of Mankind (Olduvai Gorge), and the island of Zanzibar.

Past travelers such as Evelyn T. Hill have shared these thoughts about the trip, “To be embraced by the Tanzanian community was truly priceless. It represents that we are all brothers and sisters no matter what continent we are on.” The next expeditions are scheduled for May and June 2012 and details can be found by visiting GlobeCoRe’s website at www.globecoreinc.com/services.html and clicking on Research Institute Services, then click on the Global Expedition Programs.
