Fly Fish for Trout at Callaway Gardens

Looking for a Warm Spot to Fly Fish for Trout...Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, is the Place

Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- PINE MOUNTAIN, GA – Beginning in mid-November, colder weather means it’s time to welcome trout, and trout fishing, to Callaway Gardens.

Select lakes again will be stocked with trout ranging from 14 inches to trophy size of more than 24 inches, with some smaller ones included for variety.

“Callaway Gardens is a great location for fly fishers who normally travel North to trout fish,” said Mike Wall, fishing operations manager at Callaway.  “You can stay closer to home and, more importantly, spend more time fishing.”

Winter trout fishing at Callaway also is a great option for those who usually fish for bass and bream during the warmer seasons but want something more than to do in the colder months than watch fishing on television.  Fishermen in the South will find the warmer water of the Gardens’ private lakes creates perfect conditions for enjoyable Winter fishing.

Trout fishing is available from mid-November through April by booking a guided fly-fishing trip for up to two people for $195 per half-day, or $295 per full-day and includes lunch.  A third person can be added for only $25 per half-day or $50 per full-day. These rates include use of premium equipment.  Novices and experts alike are welcome.  For beginning anglers, fly casting instruction can be added to a trout fishing excursion for $25 per person.
