Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Tibbett Logistics CEO, David Goldsborough, has been named ‘Most Efficient Logistics Manager’ at a gala awards ceremony organised by Tranzit magazine of Romania.  Tibbett Logistics SRL is a Romanian logistics specialist, and part of the fast-growing UK-based Keswick Enterprises group.

The awards took place in Timisoara, Romania, in October 2011 and were attended by a record 400 senior logistics managers from across the country.  David beat other finalists from KLG Europe, FM Logistic, CEVA Logistics, Delamode Romania, Wim Bosman, H Essers, DSV Solutions, Gefco Romania and Gebrüder Weiss to win the top prize.

A surprised David Goldsborough said: “I was very honoured to receive the award, and was really not expecting it!  I have to say that I accepted it on behalf of my entire team and colleagues.  Tibbett Logistics has experienced dramatic growth from quite humble origins over the past few years, and none of it would have been possible without a strong team.”

Tibbett Logistics has grown from running two warehousing contracts with associated transport in 2004, into one of Romania’s leading logistics specialists – with multi-site operations, extensive domestic transport capabilities and rapidly expanding intermodal (road-rail) activities.

The company now operates approaching 100,000 sq metres of warehousing in Romania, and employs about 800 people across 10 major sites.  As well as running more than 400 commercial vehicles, it is a major innovator in intermodal logistics, and was the country’s first private operator of a rail container terminal.  It is currently in the process of opening a second intermodal terminal and rail-connected warehouse at Europolis Park in the west of Bucharest.

Tibbett Logistics has approximately 30 major customers – the majority based on long-term multi-year contracts – plus a number of smaller ones.  The largest customers are all blue-chip multinationals, and include: Procter & Gamble, Honeywell Garrett, Metro Cash & Carry, Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, Pepsi and real,- Hypermarket.
