Douglas Jimerson and Civil War Comrades will sing and perform songs of the 19th century at Arlington House, Arlington Cemetery, VA on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 6 PM until 9 PM.
 
Oct. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Bring the family and enjoy familiar American folk and patriotic songs at this event sponsored by the Naitonal Park Service. Douglas Jimerson is renowned for his performances and vocal interpretation of music of 19th century America. From the Kennedy Center to Carnegie Hall, Jimerson has received rave reviews. Jimerson will sing and perform on guitar, with Bob Clayton performing on banjo and mandolin, and Steve Nelson performing on concertina. Some of the composers to be represented are Stephen Foster and Dan Emmett. Don't miss this very special occasion to commemorate another historic occasion in Robert E. Lee's life. There will be scholarly lectures by noted authors throughout the evening. Come hear some of Robert E. Lee's favorite songs presented in an historically accurate interpretation and setting. Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 6 PM until 9 PM, Arlington House, Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Admission is free to the site, which is accessed through the main entrance to Arlington Cemetery.
